Critical Incident Stress Consultants is looking to contract with community health care workers, social workers or other healthcare professionals to join our team of consultants who provide on-site and virtual group and individual stress support to medical professionals, healthcare workers, non-profit team members and other community helpers in the 7 county Minneapolis/St. Paul community.

Our work involves “helping the helpers.” We provide stress support and coaching in resilience skills to healthcare workers and those working in nonprofits when they have experienced acute workplace stress. We strive to interrupt trauma when it happens.

Training in our particular model would be provided. This is a professional development opportunity and this person would be working alongside clinical social workers, psychologists and experienced nurses, doctors and paramedics. We are especially looking for team members representing the diverse communities of the metro area.

This is a casual, on-call position, with limited and irregular hours (early morning, daytime, evening and some weekend days. No nights). It is likely that the consultant would not be activated more than 5 hours a month. The hourly pay is $100/hour.

The individual who would fit well in this position would be one who works well with self- imposed structure (since you won’t have regular office hours) has good communication and empathy skills for interacting with distressed individuals. Critical Incident Stress Consultants is looking to contract with several Social Work / LADC professionals to provide occasional on-site consultation and case management to medical professionals, first responders and helping professionals in the 7-county Minneapolis / St. Paul community. This is would be an independent contract position. Hours would be limited, likely no more than 3 hours a month and irregular, based on requests for service.

The individual who would fit well in this position would be an organized, independent self-starter with good communication and empathy skills for interacting with distressed professionals.
